Activity associated with an earthquake swarm located in the southern part of Lake Taupo has increased this morning with GeoNet reporting eight shallow earthquakes with magnitudes between 2 and 4.
Yesterday’s frosty start in Tawa wasn’t the coldest recorded by the Tawa Weather station, but it was close.
A series of light earthquakes felt at Turangi (south of Lake Taupo volcano) overnight, has drawn attention to an earthquake swarm occurring on the northern shore of nearby Lake Rotoaira.
