Saturday, June 27th, 2009Activity associated with an earthquake swarm located in the southern part of Lake Taupo has increased this morning with GeoNet reporting eight shallow earthquakes with magnitudes between 2 and 4.

Monday, June 1st, 2009A series of light earthquakes felt at Turangi (south of Lake Taupo volcano) overnight, has drawn attention to an earthquake swarm occurring on the northern shore of nearby Lake Rotoaira.
