Earthquake activity near Fiji and Tonga has continued at moderate levels since the magnitude 6.0 event of June 27th.
In the past week, there have been 6 earthquakes with magnitudes between 4.3 and 5.2 at depths between 20 and 620 km near Fiji according to data supplied by the US Geological Survey.
A magnitude 4.7 event, 75 km deep occurred near Tonga on June 29th.
A magnitude 5.0 earthquake was recorded in the Kermadecs at 1:52 this morning. The quake was located 270 km SSW of Raoul Island at a depth of 153 km.
