Strong Quake, Northern Kermadecs

A strong, very deep earthquake struck the northern part of the Kermadec Islands last evening, Friday 5th October 2007. The magnitude 6.3 earthquake, which struck at 8:18 p.m., was located 530 km north-north-west of Raoul Island at a depth of 508 km.
