Kermadec Quake

A moderately strong earthquake struck the southern Kermadec Islands just before 11 o’clock this evening.

Preliminary data reports the quake, which struck at 10:52 p.m. NZDT on Monday the 10th of November 2008, as magnitude 5.2, located 75 km south-south-west of L’Esperance Rock in the Kermadec Islands (770 km north-east of Auckland) at a depth of 110 km.
