Earthquake in the Kermadecs

A moderately strong earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands early this afternoon.

The magnitude 5.2 quake, which struck at 2:16 p.m. on Monday March 5th 2007 NZ Daylight Time, was located 115 km south of Raoul Island at a depth of 35 km.
