Kermadec Activity Continues

Earthquake activity near the Kermadec Islands has continued this morning, with a shallow 5th magnitude event.

The magnitude 5.0 earthquake, which struck at 4:34 a.m. on Friday the 6th of July 2007 NZST, was centred 290 km NNE of Raoul Island at a depth of 25 km.
