Another moderately strong earthquake struck Fiordland this evening.

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Fiordland this evening.
The deep earthquake was located 70 km south-west of Te Anau, 140 km north-west of Invercargill at a depth of 90 km. The quake, which struck at 6:14 p.m., was felt in Southland and Otago, from Glenorchy to Dunedin and southward.
GeoNet seismographs have shown continued activity in the area since the shallow magnitude 5.5 earthquake located 170 km west of Invercargill last Thursday evening.
